Black Series vs Karavan vs Load Rite: Jet Ski Trailer Comparison

A single-place PWC trailer looks like a commodity until you compare the specifications line by line. Here is how our aluminum jet ski trailer compares with the two names you will hear most often — Karavan and Load Rite — using each maker's published numbers.

What separates them

Axle type. Torsion axles ride smoother, sit lower for easier loading, and — the part that matters at a boat ramp — have no shackles or bushings to seize after saltwater dunking. Load Rite runs torsion on this model; Karavan's base singles use leaf springs. Our torsion axle guide covers why this is the specification we would never give up.

Tire size. Ours is the only one of the three on 13-inch wheels. Bigger tires spin slower for the same road speed, which means cooler bearings on long tows — and bearing failure is the single most common PWC trailer breakdown.

Capacity. All three carry any current single personal watercraft — most run 450–1,000 lb dry. Ours and the Karavan carry a small margin more, which matters if you tow with a full tank and gear aboard, or use the trailer for a jon boat or utility boat up to 14 ft — something the shorter 12-inch-wheel trailers are not really shaped for.

Price. The published numbers look similar until delivery: dealer trailers add freight, and ours ships free anywhere in the United States, with free 30-day returns on stock items.

Where the others win

Karavan and Load Rite are established names with dealer networks and decades of production behind them — if local dealer service matters to you, that is a fair reason to pay their freight. Load Rite's 2+3 warranty structure is also well regarded.

The bottom line

Spec for spec — torsion axle, 13-inch radials, 1,500 lb GVWR, dual use for PWCs and small boats, delivered free at $1,499 — ours is the strongest value of the three on paper. Check the numbers yourself, and if your situation is unusual, call us and we will tell you straight whether it fits your machine.
